The weather is finally warm and then walking bug has finally bitten hard enough to get my lazy.tail off the sofa and onto the trails! This week i’ve only logged 8 miles, but i plan to really get that number increased in the next few days! Tonight i’m planning a 10 mile walk! This is my favorite part of preparation for the walk! Fundraising is not my strong point, but walking… now thats my area of expertise! So happy trails to all my fellow walkers! My goal is to do at least 450 miles of training this year before the walk! Lets get excited!!

beautiful flowers from jill!
•March 28, 2008 • Leave a CommentSo its almost my birthday and i’ve been bummin a little bit about the whole thing. Every year i get so excited for my birthday, and most of the time i’m ultimately disappointed. Feel like my friends are just not there like they used to be, or the dud i was dating didn’t do anything, etc… this year i’m hoping it’s better! and it started off with these pretty flowers from my bff who is out of town visiting her boy!
So thank you for making my day Jill! You are the best girl friend a girl could ask for! This weekend we are celebrating with an 80’s party! Should be a good time!

•February 1, 2008 • Leave a CommentSometimes moments of complete clairity come at a time you would least expect…. the moment you realize everyone around you knew what was going to happen to you before it actually did…. the moment you realized that you should have known all along that you deserved the right…. anyway… interesting and very snow drive to work… after work should be even more interesting!
Crop for a Cure
•January 31, 2008 • Leave a CommentThis past weekend we went to the first fundraising event for the West Side Walkers… an all day Crop for the Cure! it was awesome! I think the final count was something like 60 people who attended, and well over $1,000 raised! Congrats to the WSW! Also thanks to all my girls who went with me! Jill and Nicole made the drive from metro detroit… long drive but hopefully worth it! also Nichole and her friend Lisa came out! We had a great time at the event, laughing was the most productive sound! Most of us also were able to complete many pages to our scrapbooks, get ideas, and just enjoy a ‘girls day’…
This weekend is Team WICKED’s first event! also a Crop for the Cure event! we are planning on about 40-50 people! Our event will be all day, starting at 10am and running until 11pm! we get to wear our new shirts, as you see in the picture! This might be my new favorite shirt! because lets face it… everyone should LOVE BOOBS! So check ‘em, check ‘em regularly and thouroughly!

mid.summer
•January 23, 2008 • Leave a Commentthis week i’d like to decide what the five most important things i do this summer will be…
1. Eat healthy – and make others aware, particularly those who tell me I do not eat enough or very well. For the most part they are correct. I guess an energy.drink and dorritos shouldn’t really count as breakfast…
2. Take some sweet pictures – im going to make it a point to take some awesome pictures. More often than not i am a quantity not quality girl when it comes to those things. So lets take more quality pictures with more detail, passion, and meaning!
3. Go parasailing – I really really want to do this, and have for some time now. So i’ve got to figure out when i’ll have time and maybe get a group of friends to go with me and do it! I think its pretty reasonably priced as well!
4. Simplify life – this includes home, work, and all other aspects. I plan to clear out the old, dusty and unsued things in my life to someone who might actually want them. i’d also like to work on that in my personal life.
5. Relax – Usually the summer for me is an 8 or 9 hour day at work, a few hours of walking (depends on how close we are to the walk etc), quick dinner and then out with friends or heading to bed. Not to mention all of the fundraising that needs to be done and the time spent making lists and complicating what should be easy things. I’d like to take a few days to lay in the sun with a good book!
what are 5 things you plan to do this summer!?
